Azize Tanrikulu of Turkey won silver medal in taekwondo in women's 57 kg in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. 22-year-old Azize underwent a knee surgery one year ago. She recovered 4 months ago although the doctors said the recovery could take more. Unfortunately, she broke her hand and underwent an operation four months ago. She did not give in, worked very hard and won the silver medal.

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice signed missile defense system in Poland, frustrating Russia.
